This is my last and 4th dog walking outfit for the Winter. This outfit was made over the weekend, I shortened the top a bit and used some fleece from my other project. The beautiful warm fleece is from @fabricville and the patterns used are #M7610 for the pants and #S9379 for the sweater. Now I'm going to start making Spring and Summer stuff, so much material in my stash to sew and I think I need to challenge myself a bit with some of these fantastic new patterns out now. Fabcycle (@fabcyclevan)is amazing. Okay so in September I needed some notions so I went to Fabcycle online, bought this fleece poly blend called Kermit omg sooo soft, was $8.00 per meter, also some ribbing which was $1.00 per piece (long pieces too.) Anyway this whole outfit probably cost me less than forty bucks. #s9379 oversized hoodie. I love my grey version but knew this pattern needed a pocket if I made it again. I used the TATB Stella Kangaroo pocket for a rough shape, but made it bigger and added the side band@after lining. Hood and pocket lined with a soft viscose jersey, and ribbing soft cotton so this is super snuggly:) I also made the hood tape longer than the pattern supply says (1.2 m), but more in keeping with the picture on the pattern sleeve (I cut 1.5m). I’ve gained about 7 lbs since July. (Darn that farmer’s market apple pie and my daughter’s homemade sourdough bread!). Realizing that , I made this dress a size bigger than I normally would make, and it’s too big. I’m thinking I need to make it a size smaller than my regular size. I love this fabric from my stash and hate that this didn’t turn out the way I envisioned 😔. But @ohheycori loved it and her height makes up for the upsizing. Oh well, I’m excited for this months challenge! I have my first project underway, the #msleiladress from a stash rayon print. Of course, I’ll post it when I’m finished. Oversized hoodie ready for winter 🤣 and snuggles on the sofa! Just sewed this with some cheap fabric I had to check the size - it’s huge! But I guess that’s the point…?? Lovely weather (and teens) prompted shorts sewing session. Pick 1 & 2 base is slightly adjusted @petitestitchery #psnorah shorts. Ruffles was my daughter's idea (pestering🤫) I was suggesting to buy it instead, but she didn't want any from fast fashion places and couldn't find anything else similar. End result - we both pleased Pic 3 #freepattern from @madeformermaids . It took me 1hour to print, cut and sew it 😁 wow... It fits but doesn't look good 😞 crotch seam needs adjusting. It will become pj bottoms #sewingfail Pic 4 if sewing for one, need to sew for another one too 🤗 #sewingonrepeat #s9379 Pic 5 #sewingmistakes blue pair of shorts was made without any problems, just overlocker blades didn't feel as sharp as usual. Khaki pair - overlocker blades started "biting" chunks rather than cutting smoothly. I thought it was a brilliant idea to not cut any seam allowance 🥴 end result was 🫣hudge shorts.
