#v1953 For me it’s all about the slit. The dress is fully lined. Made size 18. The only change I made was to make with inner front piece to expose the lower ab area. Made pattern using crinkle rayon challis purchased from @fabricmart. The fabric was fantastic as it did not frail much at all. The pattern instruction were great but I had trouble understanding how to sew the shoulders, so I looked at the finished version by CARLOSVOGUEPATTERNS and then understood how it was put together. For the belt I used a method I had previously learned from mimiG . I did not make a muslin for this dress and did not need to do any adjustment due to the presence of gathers making getting the fit easier. MY SEWING HABIT: I am a monogamous sewist because I dislike the cutting and marking plus it takes takes a 1-3 days to make a dress. So I have NO WIPS. PS: I have lots of knitting wips. The mules are my own diy shoe make from a year or so ago. I love gardening and do the work myself, I spend up to 6 hrs gardening some days. Grow lots of vegetables and fruits too. I was ready to risk it all in this dress 😂. I made this dress last year and shared the process in my stories. Now you understand why I said I will need boob tape and a prayer to keep everything in. But the pattern comes with an optional mesh panel where you could use illusion mesh which is probably what I should have done. But I wanted to be grown and not have the panel. 😂 I would recommend doing an adjustment of the bodice or at least adding the panel if you are busty. .
