My Xmas dress for my work party. Finished with hours to spare 💃😅. It was exactly how I imagined it. I felt an itch to sew something warm when the snow came this week! If you’re a sewist, then you’ve likely got plenty to choose from your stash when you’re stuck in the house. My very late round up of my #makenine2024 I only made 6 out of the 9 in the end. The #M7999 Is becoming my nemesis. I tried to make it years ago and failed miserably because the fabric I’d chosen was too stretchy. Since then I never seem to get round to making it! The #vanessamccalls I am still not sure about, and have a feeling there would be a lot of gaping issues at the back. I was going to make it for my brothers graduation, but did the Rose cafe bustier dress instead, and am so glad I did! The #theresedress I just didn’t have time to make this last summer, but it is definitely still on my plans for this year!

I finished this 👗 late last night for ⛪️ this morning. I used McCalls #m7999. ♥️ This pattern is so super easy!! But I cut the 1st version too small 🥴. This caused me to have to go back to the fabric store and buy more fabric. Of course I couldn’t find the same fabric 🥹. However, I did end up finding a similar fabric which I liked just as much. I then went to another store to buy some trim:) Unfortunately, I spent wayyyy too much time in both fabric stores. I ended up making a belt, adding some trim and installing a zipper. I had issues with the zipper that made me wanna scream and cuss but I remembered this was for church 🙄😆 and it eventually worked out “ok” in the end. Steve and I were invited to the Seasons Hospice Gala, a fun, purposeful evening. Our friend Tom not only cohost the event but also received an award for his service 💕.
