I’m trying to make costumes that I can also wear as clothes, so when I decided that I wanted to be Medusa I decided I wanted something flowing and moderately statuesque that would also serve for Thanksgiving dinner. This pattern is deceptively easy IF you put in the appropriate edge markings. I took out a solid two inches from the shoulders as I’m not hanger shaped, and it was a quick make after that. I adore that the back is a cape - that is a fun bit of sewing frosting. This #vintagevogue #v1947 is one of my favorites. It has lots of fabulous details that I love starting with the cape! It’s got a vintage look that still looks contemporary. The black mesh floral with a lace cape is a shorter version. The animal print is a bit more daring, although I think animal print is a great neutral. Finally, the gold sequined fur mesh from @minervadotcom is the showstopper !
