주말에 루프탑에서 바베큐나 하자고 모였는데 비가 오는 바람에 급 실내 후라이팬 바베큐로 바뀐 1박2일 모임 ㅎ 어쩌다 2018 빈티지만 마셨네. 호불호가 거의 없는 모나스트렐 (+시라). 사실 개인적으로 후미야 모나스트렐을 예끌라보다 살짝 더 좋아하는데. 이 와이너리 주소가 예끌라로 되어 있는 것을 보고. '어, 예끌란데 의외로 괜찮네' 했다. 그러나. 여윽시. 포도밭은 후미야에 있었어 ㅎㅎㅎ 입이 정확하다 정확해. 문제는 이 그랜트버지 바로사 쉬라즈. 처음에 따자마자 한 모금 마셨을 때는 허브맛이 강하게 나서 어디 듣도보도못한 토착품종인가 싶은 느낌이었다. 산미도 강하고. 라벨을 재차 확인하니, 바로사 쉬라즈 맞는데... 이걸 우짜나... 하다가 내버려뒀더니 한 1시간 쯤 지나고나서부터는 우리가 익히 아는 맛으로 돌아왔다 ㅎ 그 이후에 맛있게 마시긴 했다만. 도대체 왜 그랬던 거지 🤔 아직 한 병이 더 남았는데 저것도 그러려나. 대부분 사이트는 지금이 시음 적기라 하는데. 라벨 뒷편에 적힌 와이너리 설명에 의하면 인내심을 갖고 15년 정도 기다렸다 마시면 더 좋을거라 한다. 속는셈 치고 기다려볼까봐. 8년만 더 기다리면 되네 🤣 #와인그램 #술스타그램 #winegram #winestories #atlanandartisan #epistem #monastrell #syrah #jumilla #spain #spanishwine #vinodeespaña #shiraz #grantburge #miamba #shiraz #barossa #australia #v2018

Lapis Luna is the effect of the moon on our California grapes." 이름과 설명만 보면 어쩐지 #바이오다이나믹 농법으로 양조된 와인일 것 같지만. #라피스루나 는 포도를 직접 기르지 않을 뿐더러, 딱히 그런 방식으로 와인을 만들지도 않는다. (이스트도 넣고 이산화황도 넣는다) 사들이는 포도에 대한 설명도 찾기 힘들다. 그냥 달이 좋았던 걸로. 이 와인업체는 라벨에 400년 된 동판화를 사용하는데, 모두 달과 관련된 그림들이다. 이 까쇼 라벨의 경우 출처를 Herman Hugo 1624년 이라고 밝히고 있다. Hugo는 플랑드르 출신 사제로 <Pia Desideria>라는 종교관련 책을 썼는데 각 그림마다 성경 구절이 적혀있다고 한다. 그림에 쓰여있는 라틴어를 구글번역기 돌려보니 와인 백라벨에 쓰여있는 "The perfect time to start never arrives"는 아닌 듯. @metmuseum 의 설명을 보면 그는 글만 쓴 것 같고 그림은 Boetius Adams Bolswert 가 그린 것 같다. (당시엔 목판인쇄였던 것 같은데 그럼 동판은 언제 이뤄진 것인가... @sol_y_moon 선배 혹시 아시나요?) 와인 한 병으로 별별 내용을 다 검색해봤네. (사실 저 책도 출판년도를 1628년으로 보는 곳이 더 많고, 인터넷에 나오는 가장 비슷한 그림엔 심지어 달이 없다! https://www.pinterest.co.kr/pin/546202261041802452/ 참고) 문득 와인 라벨에 나오는 그림 혹은 라벨 뒷 이야기 관련 책을 써도 재밌겠다는 생각이 들었다. 한 번 해 봐? 참, 와인은 까쇼치고 첫 맛이 좀 달았다.
