Lighting a candle today for my dear Gran. She was, like most Grans, a well loved family member especially as they have been in our lifes for the whole of it. She passed away peacefully yesterday after a 4 month battle from a stroke. But had been poorly on and off for many years. She was an amazing lady and one who was very special to me. From day one being at my Gran and Gramps' Corner Shop on Wick Rd, Brislington (that's baby doll me in that counter pic!) and eating my way through their shop, apparently i was a lover of wotsits sat in the highchair in their shop and shoppers would love calling in. Then in latter years they retired in a gorgeous cal de sac bungalow area in Weston Super Mare. Where we'd all travel to enjoy many family gatherings. My gran was my original style icon. I always thought she was such a well put together lady and her clothes choices spot on. She always loved her nails painted too ❤️ here's just a small amount of her but I've so many more. Love her wedding day pics too. I look alot like her in many and i treasure that. Here is a top of hers I've dug out and steamed today. Makes me feel closer to her. It was a dress and i took it apart as she wanted to wear the skirt part to the Royal Palace garden party with the Royal Legion. My pleasure to help and I've kept the top half to wear for myself. I have this week made myself some paperbag trousers too and think they'll go perfectly together.
