I bought this beautiful linen runner few years ago thinking that I’d like to be one of these fancy people who put table cloth on their tables... Well, that never happened. It simply didn’t agree with my children’s table manners 🤣 But this raw linen was screaming to be reborn into something new. It only took me few years to figure out what that would be. For the side panels I used bits of contrasting linen. The only modification from the pattern was omitting the back key hole opening. I can easily get it over my head without it. I made these #v9258 from a thrifted pair of JJill linen pants. It was so fun because this pattern fit right on the pants once I had them picked apart. I made these as a muslin, but it turns out, I wear them as they are. I made a straight size 12 with no modifications. I have this on with @sinclairpatterns the Shelby tunic made out of a French Terry.This tunic is a great length with leggings. I happened to be wearing this as I was trying out my pants. Day 22 #memademay2022 It feels like ages since I’ve had something new to share! I made this before my #sewjo seriously departed and have been waiting to share it in the hopes that I make the matching shorts planned, but I just can’t muster the will! For the #CurvyYearOfSewing, the very easy vogue #v9258 semi-fitted, pull-on pants in a navy linen/cotton blend. I still FUBAR'd one of the pockets (lining and fabric sewn to wrong half) but they are there. Pattern is basically lounge pants. Overall, I'm pleased.

So it only seems fitting (pun always intended) I accept my fate as a cat person. If you have a beloved dog print fabric though, let me know. This top was the first project I ever started and finished in the same day and I absolutely love it (and have already gotten zoom compliments on it). It’s a super easy make and my favorite size: over sized. I probably could have gone down a size, if not two, but the straight size 20 is perfectly big and may become my most worn make because of it.
