My latest make, a summery blouse using the new look pattern 6560. When I made it, I felt it looked more like a medical scrubs, but since I worn it this week I'm starting to like it more and more.🥰 The pattern is an easy sew, but very enjoyable due to very clean finishes. I used some leftover fabric of last year, when I bought me and my mom some fabric on the market to make matching dresses. But eventually I fell in love with the fabric I bought for her ☺️ so I directly claimed all the leftovers when she was done. The blouse is a wrap top with a separate belt to tie around your waist. In the inside a ribbon is sewn into the seem to tie the inside flap. I just used the closest white ribbon I could find, which was of very cheap quality, so after a days wear it's frayed so much it's unusable. I'm planning on installing a button on the inside to secure it, and also on the outside so I can wear it without the belt. I'm not necessarily a bow kind of girl, so this belt was kind of pushing the limits 😬😬 I'm in a top's kinda sewing streak, but should also start to plan some summery bottoms. It’s hard to see, but this is a light and lovely @simplicity_creative_group #newlook6560. I made View C using a fabric I bought years ago on sale at Joann’s (RIP). It has a funky dropped-shoulder situation, and I moved the little belt to sit more at my natural waist. I also added snaps to keep the wrap more secure on top and adjusted the shape of the bottom to better fit my own body. This is a rare wrap shirt situation that could actually work for a variety of body types. I'm glad I finally tried a wrap blouse pattern.. This one is #newlook6560 , and for my first make I chose version A with long sleeves.. For a while I had my eye on darker shades of double gauze with golden dots.. I used this opportunity to try one of them.. I settled with black 🖤 Pattern was easy to follow.. The blouse has ribbons at inner part for making a bow, and button closure on the outer part.. Waist tie is there just as decoration.. You can see that the fit is off at the shoulders.. Next time I should narrow that part..
