The “Arizona Hawaiian Shirt”, as we called it, was completed just in time to say it was summer. Day 9 of #MeMadeMay and today I am showing off my father and the button up I made for him for his birthday last week. Pattern: -- #Simplicity8427 by @MimiGStyle - I sewed up a size 42. The only modification was making it a short sleeve shirt by cutting it off 2" above the elbow. My father's measurements are B41.5 and W38.5. Max measurements are B52/W48/H53 #SewLimitedSizing White rayon-linen blend is from @StoneMountainFabric and the contrast is made from some treasured plaid from @WeAreTheFabricStore I bedazzled it with piping along the yoke and pocket, and also added contrast bias inner collar band and bias undercollar. I also finished the sleeves and the hem with it. I liked the pattern, and more importantly my dad loved the shirt and it fit him like a glove as yall can see. I only wish there was extended sizing. A while ago, George asked me for some pleated, high-waisted trousers as they are difficult to find in a shop. A couple of iterations later and I think I found the perfect pattern.
