#newlook6394 out in the woods today🍃I turned this dress pattern into a top. I also omitted the zip, can easily on/off overhead. Added a little lace trim to the sleeves ~ the sleeves are kinda wide, though. My fabric is from #alyssamaydesign and is a tiny floral print crepe de chine. Ok, this was a super fun make! I found a denim shirt-dress in the thrift store a few weeks ago and felt sure there’d be enough fabric to make into something more my style…whatever that is 🙄 After much deliberation, i found there was enough fabric in the skirt, if I use the original sleeves also, to make a blouse. I’ve been seeing all these pretty, frilly, puffy-sleeved denim blouses in my Pinterest feed lately and while I like all the floofyness on others, no so much on me. But I had a bit of fomo so… Here is my very understated attempt at a girly denim blouse. Basically, it’s just the sleeves🤣 I liked it so much, I even ordered specific buttons for it, rather than just using what I had! THATS saying something😂 #newlook6394 is a great pattern with lots of variations. I made view c with view e sleeves. So lovely, imo. Worn with recently made and recently altered slim straight #helenejeans I had to adjust the back crotch curve significantly, which you can’t super know until you’ve worn pants a few times. I went and altered all 3 pairs I’ve made and they are sooooo much better now!
