When I initially committed to making clothes for this trip, the first thing that I wanted on the table was a romper/playsuit since the one I already own and had for many years runs a little tight. I needed something that was cute and didn’t use up a lot of fabric New Look #n6373 was one of the patterns I used early in my sewing journey. Originally made up the jumpsuit view but it was too small. This was way before I learnt about measuring yourself and comparing size ranges 😅 but this deserved another go round and it went together beautifully. 🪡 DUVET COVER PLAYSUIT 🪡 This duvet had been sitting in stash for a bit waiting for the right pattern(s). I thought it would make a fun playsuit for holiday. After making the Friday Sports Shorts in the same fabric, I decided to try a slash pocket hack for this playsuit too. I hadn't factored in the construction of the elastic channel so the pockets are a bit shallow but this wasn't a high stakes project, I just wanted to give it a try. I lost the printed pattern and had to buy a new one then found it so I cut a straight 10 rather than trace. The instructions were characteristically very unintuitive. I looked back at the Nina Lee Park Lane instructions for how do a keyhole closure and a narrow hem on the flounce. I didn't add a tie and just used elastic. I made it for a bit of fun. Not sure if it will get worn much away from holiday. I think I love a flounce and would like to try it in a drapier fabric.
