I had to match with her just ONE time before she learns to say "No!" 😂 I picked up 4 metres of this beautiful cotton fabric for $15 from a remnants table, I love it so much I knew I had to make sure I used every scrap! My dress (which I have now realised you can't really see properly, I will try to get more pictures 😂) is #v8766 view c, a boned, strapless bodice with boning and princess seams and a full circle skirt. I made up size 12 and the only alteration I made was to take in the top of the bodice an inch at each side seam, then taper it down to the size 12 seam at the waist so I didn't have to alter it too much. It certainly did the trick, however it taught me the importance of making a sample first...which I now do!!!! Olivia's dress is my faithful #s8563 view f which is my go to when I have less than a metre to work with and want something pretty, I made the size 3 so it will fit her this coming spring/summer (please stop growing!!!!) My sister-in-law got married yesterday, so I obviously chose to sew & finish a flower girl dress & a matching set this past week 🤷🏼‍♀️ Penny was the best flower girl in her mommy made dress #s8563 And I wore this nursing friendly set made out of a navy lyocell. It’s a self drafted skirt & a cropped #athinatop (basically copied @gyasti from a set she made ❤️)

MMM 10: This #s8563 dress pushed my boundaries and expanded my sewing skills! 🖤🖤🖤⁣ ⁣ I let my daughter pick out the fabric and when I started this project found out it was very sheer 😬⁣ ⁣ (Maybe for ages 3 and under you could get away with it but my daughter is 5 😳) ⁣ ⁣ The pattern only goes to size 4. I graded the pattern up to size 5 and lengthened it to her measurements. I tend to go longer on length so she can wear it for longer. ⁣ ⁣ I’ve never lined a garment without instructions, thank you #youtube I used fabric from my stash for the lining. so here is an adorable little 🐈 dress i made for one of my nieces. she loves cats so i decided to encourage this wonderful obsession with a fun cotton kitty print.
