One more birthday scrub top for the best sister one could ever hope for- also she saves lives on the regular in the emergency room, so that's pretty cool too. Pattern: @mccallpatterncompany #m6473 Modified to have a high neckline, larger pockets, neck facings instead of bias binding and a little tab for clipping on an id. Fabric: cotton floral print from local fabric mart and side panels are purple linen that my sister brought me back from Peru (which I've been using every last scrap and never want it to end)

More basement finds: Party dresses I made @lucythecatlady when she was a tiny human: View A of #m6473 #mousefeathers in size 2 in a floral cotton with cotton eyelet trim is the dress she wore to my sister Nancy’s wedding in 1993. This is also known notoriously as the “I need more cake!” dress. 🤣 The second dress is also a #mousefeathers pattern, size 5 (so probably made in 1995 or 1996), view A of #m6965 in a cotton lawn. For the life of me, I can’t recall what occasion, if any, this one was made for. Both of these dresses have so many wonderful details such as sleeve heads to keep the puff sleeves “puffed up”, extra poofy skirts, pin tucks, and on the second dress, bias piping at the waist, bias bound sleeve bands and hem & collar ruffles. The third photo is a “princess” costume that I don’t seem to have the pattern for anymore. I love the lace leg-o-mutton sleeve contrast and the overskirt. It’s made of rayon lining fabric with gold rick rack and ribbon trim. The next garment is an everyday dress in a quilting cotton, literally a “house dress”. I have no idea what pattern I used for it. All I know is the interfacing is super-rigid after all these years! Yikes! 😂 And finally a sweater by Patons called Sweetie Pie from the discontinued Patons 680 Little Darlin’s [sic] booklet. I can’t remember what yarn I used (this project predates Ravelry but it might be Patons Grace, a 100% cotton yarn. . . I loved sewing and knitting for my girl back then, and I still do. 💜

#m6473, size xs, view c with a straight hem ♥️ If you end up doing yourself a mischief on a Friday and sent to hospital there is a good chance I will be checking you are upright and breathing whilst I am sporting this v subtle and understated scrub top ♥️🌴 Made in this absolutely brilliant fabric by @elliewhittakerstudio and label by @kylieandthemachine and bias binding from @TheSpeckySeamstress I bought this pattern a while back (from eBay in a pack of five other scrub patterns) due to its similarities to my government issue scrub tops that are positively hideous but fit ok(ish).
