I think this is my first time making a Butterick pattern. 👀 I saw @brittanyjjones make these pants for Frocktails back in October and immediately got the pattern.
This is Butterick #B6964. Her pants came out so pretty and I had been searching for pants with the kick out hem (late 90s/early 00s vibe).
I used 2 yards of a stretch Ponte knit fabric that I had in my stash… since forever. Even though I prewashed the fabric, the dye was EVERYWHERE. I literally had to take a magic eraser to my sewing machine and wipe it down.
Here’s some modifications that I made: I took an inch out of the rise for the front and back and I had to take these pants in my about 2 inches on each side and graded the inseams to make them more fitted around my thighs - which exaggerated the kick out vent more, which I love.
Anywho, they’re cute. I’m cute. And I’ll be wearing these after February too. ♥️
Happy Sewing 🪡✨
