#memademay2025 day 27!! This is a “skort” I mashed together with #s1110 and the leggings from the #shenaniganskort, both of which I’ve made before. I’d pretty much prefer a skirt or dress any day over pants. So this gives me the comfort and look of a skirt, but I can ride my bike, sit on a blanket on the grass, jump up and down and twirl at a concert, and still maintain some modesty. I added a phone pocket to the leggings so I can go purse free. I love it! Swipe to see a pic of me with one of my voice students at her gig last summer. 🥰

I found this mustardy floral sheet set at the thrift store and bought them with my sister in mind as she is an autumn. Had no plans, other than to toile some things and if they turn out ok and she likes them, great! So, first up is this epic tiered skirt that took me a thousand years to gather! This is #s1110 from #simplicitypatterns It takes a LOT of fabric and is fabulously twirly!!! This is a great pattern, with lots of options. The only change I made was to take 3” off the top tier as it hit at an awkward spot. Otherwise, all is as the pattern intends. #sewingforothers #sewsustainable #sewthrifty

My latest beauty! This is #s1110 view A made from @stylemakerfabrics rayon challis in all these beautiful colours! They’re a bit brighter and warmer than what works best for me but I loved it so much and my vision was always a flowy tiered skirt so that works perfectly! I didn’t have quite enough fabric so the bottom tier is 4 panels rather than 5, but there is still some gathering and you can’t tell too much🤪.
