A Simplicity #S8613 for this guy to complete the wife-made outfit 🙋🏻‍♀️ This one, a @mimigstyle pattern was amazing because it came along with a sew-along which is super rare for a traditional pattern out of the box. Honestly, when researching makes aside from checking it’s hashtag, i check for sew-alongs because It takes the mystery out of both traditional and indie patterns for me. Definitely a selling point as a consumer! Details: • A modified view B of this pattern. (We used view A’s sleeve for summer wear) • We reduced the placket height to lessen the number of buttons that it needed because @camronhj preferred it shorter. • Honestly, I was a little less happier with this one than usual makes since the finishing was a bit average. This man had a birthday last week, so I whipped up @norrisdantaford ‘s T-shirt pattern for him 😊. It’s @simplicity_creative_group S8613 and it’s my go to pattern for whenever he needs a t-shirt. He really likes the raglan sleeves and I really like that it’s so easy and quick to sew up. Mods I made this time include shortening the long sleeves to 3/4 length and adding a skinny hem band instead of hemming the sleeves. First finished project of 2022 is a Stanley Tucci inspired raglan with snaps for my partner. It's made from merino tencel from the @wearethefabricstore It's taken me so long to photograph because Matt's basically worn it non stop since I made it. It looks better on than it photographs! I'm really happy with it - I made this pattern for him about a year ago, and it's cool to see how I've improved. I'm really happy I finally got some knit interfacing and could make a nice pointy collar. Super quick make now I've made it a few times. Pattern: #simplicity #s8613 #sewing

I made Jim a new shirt. I love baseball style tees, so I couldn’t resist @mimigstyle ‘s pattern Simplicity 8613. The sleeve fabric is my own design (camo rose in urban colorway) printed by @spoonflower on modern jersey, and the black fabric is polyester jersey from @moodfabrics 🖤. . I used this experience to prepare for my Hoodie, Knit Tops, Sweatshirt Sewing Class All Supplies and lunch Included Saturday July 22 or Sunday Sept 10 9:30-4:30pm $210. 👉Happy students wearing there hoodies 🤗 This was the second sewing class these 2 students took and look how great their hoodies look👍. Made him a long sleeve tee today! I used a #mimigstyle #s8613 pattern that I first tried when I first started sewing a couple years ago. It was a disaster for many reasons, all my own newby sewing fails haha! It was before I knew about cutting along the selvedge or with the stretch in the correct direction! Before using the correct stitch to prevent popped stiches 😆 anyway this one turned out intact and looks so much better!
