AD | Felicity Fabrics My latest make is making me feel ready for the sun ☀️ This is the Newlook #N6434 pattern which I chose because I was trying to recreate a look of a RTW garment that I had seen. The pattern was fun to sew and even though a few little tweaks needed for next time overall I am really pleased with my finished top 🙌 I love the dropped waist look and that the top is really comfortable and cool 🤍 What really makes this is the fabric! It is a white cotton poplin from @felicity.fabrics with a beautiful embroidered leaf design. The fabric has a scalloped edge which meant I didn’t need to hem (woohoo!) and gave a lovely finish. New outfit brought to you by the Quarantine and New Look! One good thing to come out of this “Stay at Home” order is plenty of time to sew. So, sew I do. 🧵The top is New Look 6534 out of a cotton from JoAnn’s. The pants are New Look 6627 out of a Cotten sateen. Both fabrics were from the clearance section @joann_stores and I paid about $3/yd for both. One thing I like about the blouse is that the bell sleeve is up around the elbow instead of the wrist. Doesn’t get in the way of all this hand washing.
