I made this cute skirt and matching bow out of just over 1m of scuba knit on sale at @spotlightstores This is the @patternemporium_kate Heartlight skirt which I hacked to have a flounce. I measured how wide I wanted the flounce to be and cut that off the pattern and added 10cm to the width. When I sewed it back together I simply stretched it out to match notches, but you could also do a light gathering to get the notches to match as well, I didn't feel it needed it as I had not added alot more to the width. First time making the Besties tee and it won’t be the last! I would have never been game to make a cropped length top but after seeing the tester photos I have it a go and I’m so pleased I did. It’s been a wee bit since I’ve put up a sewing post. Don’t think I sewed a single thing in a month and then I made two new things in about a week (ok maybe two if you want to count hemming but I never do). Anyway, just being over productive or under productive and staying totally on brand for me. A few details: Skirt is dbp (double brushed poly) and I love the patchwork pattern. It reminds me of when I lived in CO at the height of my boho/60’s style stage. 😄 Fabric is from @milymaefabrics and pattern is the #heartlightskirt from @pattern_emporium Next we have the #summitpeakhoodie from @patternniche in a ponte that quite frankly is out of stock because it’s been in my hoarding pile that long. However, I did line the hood with French terry from @milymaefabrics and that one is in stock. I think my next project will be to finish a few ufos (unfinished objects) and maybe work on a cardigan.
