Ok here’s the super high waisted Franken-pants I made! I combined three different patterns, but I used a denim with a slight stretch and I think it needs to definitely be a non-stretch woven… next time! I whipped up some pants! I’ve been really wanting to dig into a 1930s inspired wardrobe for this year… I love the puff sleeves and dainty details of the late 1930s but I also really love pants! I’ve previously made the Butterick 5895 pants but they require a zipper and more fitting adjustments… but these lovely things are like pajamas bc they have an elastic waist and some added ease in the design! So, my measurements put me in a size 12, but after I attached the waistband, realized they were too loose for my liking, so I took a 1/2” off the outer seam all the way up through the waistband and then the inseams. They’re a little better now, however on the next pair I’ll reduce the length of the elastic. I used a medium weight cotton, which is not the recommended fabric, ha, so hopefully with a lighter weight they’ll be more flowy!
