I decided to tackle something more difficult and made this beautiful dress! This is @patternemporium_kate #spellbounddress with a high low hem. This was the most planned sew I had ever made. It took me 4 days and 1 fit test garment to get all the adjustments needed right and then it all came together beautifully! I am so proud of this dress 💕 Made: MARCH 2022

This weekend I made the cutest little dress which I just love to bits. Meet my @patternemporium_kate Spellbound Fit and Flare dress, O my I do believe I am smitten with it. I'm entering this into #2fromstashamonth hosted by @salixsews and @septemberfaden I have had this jersey for along while and never found a pattern I really wanted to make with it until I came across this one, I really liked this fabric and became abit picky as to what it was going to be. I did a fit test first with another fabric from my stash that has a faded fold mark going down the front, it served its purpose though and highlighted the change I needed to make, I'm actually wearing it now after having a shower and cooking dinner, it may be the poor relation to this beauty but perfect for lounging around home. I have also nearly completed another, longer version, yes you could definitely say I am head over heals 🫶with this pattern. Made this dress for vacation without checking a few of the dimensions, namely the waist size. Took out my magic wand, torn out the side seams and added a bit of fabric to the waist on each side called a gusset and saved the day. The first is what I call a true midi length; I took.the midi length pattern and cut ten inches off it to fit my fabric. The second is the same pattern but uncut length. It is actually more maxi than midi. The blue is a @1_puddlelane_patterns #MissRubyTuesday with a double scoop neck, flutter sleeves, and half circle skirt. #fabric for the first two was purchased during @sly_fox_fabrics closing sale. MrNumbat helped Mr6 buy this pretty rayon spandex for me for Christmas. It was perfect, as I'd been planning on using some thinner knit to make a couple of casual dresses. I looked through my ottobre stash, but didn't have quite what I wanted, so I bought the #patternemporium #spellbounddress (in the sale), with its more fitted body and flared skirt. It was my first time trying a PE pattern, and it went together really well and fit to measurements, so I'm pretty happy. Its a bit shorter than practical (but my test was knee length and that felt too long so I'll have to go half way between) so squeezed a pair of #5oo4ninjapants out of the offcuts to wear underneath. Which was very useful when we went to the park this morning and it was super windy 🤣 Mr6 loves what I did with "his fabric" and I'm a fan too. Now to decide if I need another one or if I should try a different pattern... #handmadewardrobe

The grown on cap sleeve with just a band is super cute and it curves in perfectly at the waist to give a bit of definition without being snug. I made this from a fabulous viscose jersey that I got from @minervadotcom .
