I don’t normally sew a lot of basics purely because it doesn’t make me very excited but our isolation period has me re thinking my wardrobe choices. Even now I still find myself spending a lot of time at home so comfy clothes are a must. These Foxy Legs from @patternemporium_kate are made in soft single brushed poly. This was my first time using a P.E. pattern and it all went together well. I added length to the hems and waist height, I added perhaps a little bit too much to the waist height but it doesn’t worry me. I’m trying to be conscious and make sets rather than random pieces that don’t fit into my wardrobe. I used up some double brushed poly scraps to make the Monroe Top from @tessutifabrics , It’s a freebie! And it’s wonderful!! I’m so in love with a turtleneck and I thinks it pairs perfectly with my pants for a comfy yet chic outfit. MeMadeMay Day 4: My favorite make⁠ ⁠ Oh, this is a tough one. 😬 I have so many makes that I just love, but all for different reasons. You'll see some of them later in the month for other categories, so I'm going ⁠to go with the one I wear the most which is my Foxy Legs joggers by @patternemporium_kate ⁠ I've made 2 pairs, one knee length (shown here in a black organic french terry from @califabrics ) and one full length. I wear the full length one so often that I haven't even had a chance to photograph it yet. When I'm working from home, the probability is high that I'm wearing one of them. I made this jumper back in May in ISO 1. The fabric was love at first sight, regret that I didn't preorder and relief when I snapped up the last bit of retail. I cut the jumper pieces so carefully to make the most of the fabric I had. (I've still got a tiny bit left over) Between ISO 1 and ISO 2, I decided to try out the matching lounge wear trend that is currently everywhere. I used the Foxy Legs pattern with the go-faster stripe option to incorporate the jumper fabric. I folded out a little too much in the legs when adding in the go-faster stripe so that pants are a little tighter than they are meant to be but the stretchiness of the DBP is very forgiving and it is noticeable. The top is an ‘anything but basic' top from DIBY. I could never wear this colour tee on its own but I think it matches the jumper colourings perfectly for a matching but not matching set.
