Thanks @the_stitch_bandit and @cm.sews for #mysewinghistory. It has been good to reflect on how far I’ve come with sewing and how much of my wardrobe now consists of hand made clothing. I realised that I’ve never put this wrap skirt on my grid and I think (?) I made it in 2018, and probably was one of the first items made with rayon. I wore it a lot when living in Jakarta, but since returning to Australia, I had forgotten about it until now. The insides are a bit messy, but it’s still wearable! While I have been waiting for my mum to arrive with an invisible zipper foot to finish my #rainedress I bit the bullet and made a #pebohemianwrapskirt (pattern by @patternemporium_kate ) from this striped cotton I found in spotlight and just had to have! Luckily I bought 3m of it 😂 I've had the pattern since it released, but haven't even looked at it 🤦‍♀️ This fabric is beautiful and soft and will be perfect for this crazy hot weather we have been "enjoying". Here is the ‘practice’ Bohemian Wrap Skirt - I was happy with the length, but you can see in the new one (see my last post) that I’ve straightened the back wrap panel for modesty instead of following the curve of the pattern and I have also graded it at each side seam to take out a couple of inches towards the bottom, so it isn’t so flared & is a little more fitted 😊 Working on a PE Endless Summer Tee to go with them now! 😁 #sewexcited for a new #MummyWardrobe!
