2 last makes to share, again both #patternemporium The first pattern I tried on rediscovering the company months ago was this free #fridayfeelsskirt made in the most scrumptious soft comfy @maaidesign heavy bamboo elastane. It's waited around for a hem until now! If it finds it's way into regular wearing I'll definitely be getting more of this fabric for more, such an economical way to wear a bit of luxury. The top is a just finished this morning #hellogorgeoustop in the last of my navy @supercheapfabrics viscose elastane. I love this fabric for first runs (fit tests) for all my knit sews which gives me a great set of wardrobe basics too. I'm finding the #patternemporium patterns fit really well going by measurements. This one has a low round neck (really lovely, not too low) and short sleeves which I was going to finish with the bands but I really like this flutter look so I stopped there & left raw! Who even am I?! So along with many other @patternemporium_kate patterns this year #sewnsow2021memakes I've really found my sew-jo again these last few months. If you're a beginner, the instructions are excellent and if you're experienced you'll appreciate the professional drafting perfection and accurate sizing. I had a few hours to spend in my sewing room yesterday, so took the opportunity to make the Friday Feels skirt from @patternemporium_kate for myself using a piece of the glorious fabric I received last month from @tiaknightfabrics in the #MadeItMyself collaboration Well, what a fantastic skirt it turned out to be, the fabric and pattern were made for each other! ❤️ The fabric is the Grey, Watercolour floral scuba and I used under a metre to make my skirt. I can see me wearing this so much in the coming winter months and into spring 😊 I've already prepped up the Allure top pattern, again from @patternemporium_kate , to make a co-ordinating top to wear with the skirt. Black fabric is so difficult to photograph! I spend a lot of time at home slobbing about in tracky bottoms when it's chilly so decided to see if a comfy stretchy skirt and fleecey tights were as warm (had to lose the tights for the pic as you couldn't see where skirt ended and tights started 🤭). Turns out they are just as warm and comfy plus I still look smart enough to go out without having to change!
