I recently completed my first pattern test with @patternemporium_kate and enjoyed the experience tremendously. This is the Entice Me Fitted Dress Pattern and is on sale for 18 more hours. My favorite part about this tutorial is the extensive ‘Fitting Issues’ section to help you find the perfect fit. Because nobody enjoys constantly tugging at a fitted dress. The back bodice and skirt can be cut in two pieces which help with fitting and also allowed me to create this fun chevron look. When you find a style that suits you do you make it again and again? I tend to bounce around patterns but I have a feeling I’ll be reusing this same bodice/skirt combo that I used for my black liverpool dress. As soon as I received this light cotton jersey from @shopolgascloset I knew what I wanted to do with it. But instead of the A-line skirt I decided on the gathered since gathers are especially nice with lightweight knits. I love the floaty feminine style mixed with the more serious stripes. Patterns used are #peenticeme bodice (high front neckline and cap sleeves) and #petankdress3ways (gathered skirt modified to have an extra tier) This fabric was gifted to me in exchange for promotion. I made this while testing the newly released Tank Dress from PE (link in bio). It’s a mash of the Entice Me Dress Bodice and the Tank Dress A-Line skirt. Fabric is Liverpool from Knitpop that I’ve had in my stash for a while. I love Liverpool because it’s really lightweight but also thick enough to feel substantial over the skin. It’s drapey and also structured - just a great versatile base.

Pattern: #EnticeMeDress #PEEnticeMe from @patternemporium_kate The most difficult part in making this dress was finalizing a design because there are just sooooo many options! 280 possible combinations to be exact. Here I chose the medium front and back necklines with cap sleeves in knee length. The construction is simple and there are detailed instructions for tweaking the fit. I got this pattern as part of a giveaway where @patternemporium_kate was a sponsor. Fabric: Cotton lycra from FabricAnkerr (Msian online store) Size and mods: This is a straight size 8 with sway back adjustment. Pinched off 1/2 inch total from back bodice and skirt, tapering to the side seams. I measured size 8 for chest and hips, and size 10 for waist (#b34w28h37). Blended the sizes initially but then found it was unnecessary. For my #petitesewist sisters, I’m glad to report that the high bust and full bust measures the same for size 8, a little smaller for size 6. I’m a cup size A and this fit me fine without adjusements. No length changes for the bodice despite my height (5’3”) because I have a longish upper torso. Hem was shortened by 1.5 inches The pattern serves as a great base for some pattern hacking and I’ve already made a top out of it. Another dress is planned with the cowl back add-on 😁

So happy with the way this dress came together even through it was a crazy week. Here I have sewn the Entice Me dress with the Cowl Back and Flutter Sleeves by Pattern Emporium. Fabric is an Athletic Performance Knit in Green and a Burnt Out Velvet Paisley, both from Lush Fabrics Australia. I made a size 14. If I was to make it again I possibly do a size 12 on top and grade out to a 14 at the waist down. I’d also do a sway back adjustment on the back panel to fit my body shape a little better. I wore this to the Australian Meat Industry Awards, Queensland State Finals. Reconnect long line cardigan it’s a beautiful fitted cardigan and I made two and a hack the floral one has an amazing puff sleeve and I’d made in dbp the green one is a French terry straight sleeve the final one is black stretch lace and I used the #allurebellsleeve fit it it mashed right in beautifully as so many of Kate’s patterns do I’m wearing that with the #peenticemedress which is a bit out of my comfort zone but I’m also totally in love!! I can't get enough of this outfit! I spent months on the hat, slowly sewing the lace to the frame and assembling it in different stages. The dress was a quick make though: full-steam ahead on the overlocker! And the best thing about a knit dress: no zip! The pattern is the #peenticemedress (with the flounce from the #pegoingplacesdress), in hot pink polka dot Liverpool from @lushfabricsaustralia. Liverpool is a poly knit, but has a forgiving crepe texture that I just love.
