Not a romper or a dress. Not even the same fabric base. It’s sneaky separates! Top is Itch to Stitch Chirripo Top in Stretch Woven. It’s an easy breezy pull on woven tank pattern with a wide square neck and loose bodice so no closures necessary 👌🏼 If you have a bust you definitely want a fabric with drape to avoid the tent look. 😬 ⛺️ This stretch woven worked great. Culottes are Pattern Emporium Palazzo Pants in Endurance XC I made culotte length and used the wide contrast band pocket but didn’t contrast. I just liked the shape. There are so many pocket options to choose! The waistband is elastic and the entire pant is super stretchy but also stable. They’re oh so comfortable. #memademay2022 day 8 lots to talk about today. This is the @fridaypatterncompany #patinablouse I finished yesterday it’s in a poly crepe de chin and I used snaps for closure. I have mixed feelings on one hand I love this on the other hand this collar is GIGANTIC. And I am not sure it’s in proportion to me ( might draft a smaller round collar or leave the collar off) I am also wearing my charcoal #pepalazzopants which I love and another #hettycardigan this time in a deep teal. #memademay2924 - Day 7️⃣ An outfit in two parts for Day 7 - if you swipe fast you can see the animated version! My selfie game must be struggling because I missed yesterday's update as it was a public holiday here and I spent the first half of the day in lycra, and the second half in dirty work clothes and steel caps 🚴‍♀️ x 🛠️ So these are the expansively wide-legged Palazzo Pants from Pattern Emporium (#pepalazzopants by @patternemporium_kate) made in a super stretchy Liverpool knit. Or as I like to call them (in my head at least), my big black buttress pants as they remind me of the massive buttress roots of a fig tree... So stretchy, so comfy, and so nice to be wearing secret tracksuit pants for work! The Yours Truely tank was the second half of the double release from Pattern Emporium yesterday. There are two sleeveless styles, a “halter-ish” cutaway and a regular sleeveless. Of course I tried both! The main feature of the tank is the simple, yet subtly feminine, flounce around the hem. I’m back with a not a jumpsuit (I dislike the word faux) I also dislike struggling to get to the toilet so this is a top and bottom not joined in the middle, in a snazzy viscose jersey from one of my favourite fabric sources @stitch_fabric1 I made a size 16 top and bottom. The half sleeve drops down a bit because I made a size too big, unusually, there weren’t any finished bust measurements, and another of my pet dislikes (seem to be a lot of them in this post) is tops with zero ease, so I played safe! I think a bit of elastic in the top of the sleeve should do the trick. I did try a shoulder strap but didn’t like the look so much. I made a large size to accommodate my waist which is 2 sizes bigger than my hips. I also made the high rise version. I could quite happily have made 2 sizes smaller and low rise - the viscose jersey is quite heavy so hangs low, but because of the volume it doesn’t really show. Despite my sizing issues I really like this, and it’s very comfortable, but I doubt I’ll be slogging round tesco in it, I’ll save it for somewhere hotter and more exotic. Once again this top needs a very fine floaty & drapey fabric which this silk is - it’s also little sheer but still very wearable in this style. Annual Christmas Lunch with a group of friends some of whom go back over 60years, fantastic catch up.
