Sadly, I’ve only worn it once but that’s only because I rarely wear dresses. Also, I’ve stopped wearing brown since getting my #moonlitsummer #coloranalysis result. Even so, I held onto the dress as I think these browns are quite cool taupes etc…maybe 😳 Anyway… It occurred to me that perhaps my vest would bridge the colour gap and I’d be more inclined to wear the ensemble, particularly on these weirdly warm autumn days. Earlier this year I made a decision to develop a better understanding of my personal style with the help of the lovely ladies at @styleliberation. This month’s styling challenge was to style a printed skirt three ways. The skirt I chose is this Vogue Individualist 2312 Betty Jackson in @neridahansenfabrics which, I am embarrassed to say I have never worn. I decided to style it casually, elegantly and creatively and came up with the following looks. 1. Styled simply with sneakers, a straw hat and rattan bag and a #cnmaxtee in heavy bamboo from @maaidesign 2. Elegant and paired back with @veronikamaine_design jumper and silver accessories 3. Feeling creative with skirt worn over #pedreamondress in rayon spandex from @lushfabricsaustralia, denim jacket and blue wedges, silver bag and blue sunnies Playing in your wardrobe is such a fun (and inexpensive!) way to come up with new and different style combinations to get the most out of garments you already have. It also helps to identify garments that may be missing. For me, I definitely need more layering pieces. A button down shirt, printed tee and silver jacket are on my wish list.
