I have new shorts! Hehe... Made this cute comfy pair of shorts from @patternemporium_kate Just Peachy Shorts pattern. Love how the back is tapered with easy darts to make the shorts look so fitting! This is in Length 1 (shortest length), stitched pockets with yoga waistband. . I can not remember the material blend, but I am certain it was from @thyeguantextile. This knit is not too stretchy but gave my shorts and pants a structured look. One super fun thing about getting promotion fabric to sew up is that it’s a great opportunity to try new patterns. I wanted to sew up the Chalk and Notch Page pattern after making their Waterfall Raglan and loving it so much. It has cup sizing, so for once it’s a crop top that really fits me like a crop. I really like the pattern. Elise thinks she’d like it better styled with a skirt. But it was a good opportunity to try the Pattern Emporium Just Peachy Shorts for me. I made a pair for Elise that I really liked. I thought the high waisted knit shorts would be great with a crop top. I made wearable muslin first, because I needed to add quite a bit to the back but none to the front which is atypical for me. It did turn out I added 1” too much, so I’m glad that I made the muslin. This outfit isn’t something that I typically would wear, but it’s really nice to make something different than the rest of your wardrobe. The fabric is $1 off per yard through Wednesday. All Chalk and Notch patterns are on sale through Friday. I bought several and just sent three to be printed. I am really loving the cup sizes and their patterns which are a bit different style for me. Pattern Emporium released a super cute pair of shorts at the end of last year … the “Just Peachy Shorts” … pretty cute name too. 🍑   I made three pairs during the testing … why? Because they are cute …. but more than that because they are a super quick sew, a super easy sew, are super comfy and I think pretty much ‘on trend’.   This pair I made out of a Liverpool fabric, so the structure is a little less floaty than say a jersey knit pair.
