After my recent jacket version, I figured a simple top was a good foil. I hacked the @patternemporium_kate Shoreline Top to have a plain front by removing the placket. Day 2: I may be at home but it’s still a work day for me during pesky report writing season. So secret pajamas it is. I’ve made two of these @patternemporium #peshorelinetop and I love them! This one I sized down by one size (I think it’s a 10) so I could squeeze both items out of 3m of this cute viscose ditsy floral. I made the #sewingsafiya #sewingsafiyatrousers by @tillybuttons to match for a secret pj loungewear set that works as well summer as it does in winter (I am the queen of roll necks for any time it’s chilly!). Another post from some of my final makes of 2023 … here is the Pattern Emporium Shoreline Top. I made three tops during the testing period, this top being my 3rd make, which I have hacked into a dress.   The Shoreline top can be made either as an oversized top (see my previous two posts for the oversized version). I made this dress in the “easy fit” version, cutting a size 8 and grading to size 10 at the hips. If I were to make the dress again, I would definitely go for the ‘oversized’ fit, as I’m feeling this is a little small on me. The colour too is probably not “traditionally me” but using a fabric from my stash in an effort to reduce 👍   This dress has now become my new PJ’s and I’m finding them very comfortable and cool in this hot weather.   I can see this dress as a great beach cover up … but I would make the oversized version next time.
