Pantalon Eastbourne. La toile a été faite en taille 36. Je n'ai coupé qu'une longueur "short" parce que je voulais surtout vérifier la fourche et la taille (option A sur le patron), la longueur étant plus facilement vérifiable en mesurant. Tout était parfait, rien à modifier. Quand la toile est validée, je ne jette pas le tissu ; il est gardé soit pour couper de nouvelles pièces de toiles, soit comme doublure. Last year when I was in the same location I bought these curtains from an op-shop. Today I’m wearing them as my favourite faux jumpsuit. . Earrings are converted herrings from @remixplastic - all her work is made from plastic off casts/rubbish/non-recyclable plastics. The necklace is a beautiful piece I bought in a Vancouver fair trade shop. It was once a landmine in Cambodia and is now fashioned into a braille necklace reading love. (Weapons into ploughshares, hatred and violence into beauty). The cardi is a second hand cast off from a friend. Waste not, want not! The linings of 18th century dresses like the #aidahgown were often made from a mix of fabrics: the makers just used whatever scraps they had, as the lining would never be seen. In keeping with this tradition, the body of the black Aidah sample is lined in the same gilt linen as my #augustastays, but the sleeves are lined in a purple linen left over from making a pair of #eastbournetrousers and a #fantailskirt - I had to piece it to have enough, but that’s very period accurate too! #scrooppatterns #virgilsfinegoods #18thcenturyclothing #18thcenturysewing
