We started 2024 moving house and ended it with a new grandchild so it’s been a busy 12 months. Today we are off to a special little girl’s 5th birthday party. This is my hot off the machine @themakersatelier #tmaboxshirt made in lovely @merchantandmills linen. The perfectly matching buttons are also from Merchant and Mills. I think this is the perfect autumnal shirt. All finished off with a cute @little.rosy.cheeks label. The pattern came together very well - at some points I just had to trust the process! I have had the pattern for far too long before making it but I’m sure this will be the first of many I’m having a red moment- could be related to a special anniversary we have coming up! I am not sure about patterns from The Makers Atelier, i just dont like or understand the concept for facings. (See last pics for facing in jacket) Why do they just stop? The Box Shirt is no exception. I love this fabric though, tencel twill, purchased from @stitsj together with an organic cotton twill, here seen in the trousers, both from Mind the Maker. Trousers are the usual Base from @annringstrand, I just cant stop.
