Why on earth I thought I had to have a gold coat, I do not know. Does not fit the muddy lifestyle. I have worn it once to go out to dinner to celebrate daughter’s birthday. Will have to be Tesco next. This coat has been a long project. I bought the gold linen about a year ago from @simplyfabricsbrixton Then in April I went on a 3 day @themakersatelier retreat where we made a toile of the #tmaclassiccoat In August I did a day with @clairesthreads to finish the real thing, but didn’t quite. Anyway it is finally done. I think I need to improve my pressing and hemming skills! Overall enormous thanks to @clairesthreads for her excellent teaching and immense patience. The beautiful lining is a Robert Kaufman cotton based on a Klimt design. Vintage buttons from my stash.
