I’m so proud of my (office) suit and of course the pattern matching. The patterns are “the blazer” and “the wide legged-trouser” by @themakersatelier and the fabric is from @sewmesunshine.uk. I had some issues with the instructions for the zipper and used instructions from another pattern to finish this part. Overall the patterns are not to difficult to see but in my opinion you should have some experience to do it. 🧵 Update: I love the kindness and the support of the sewing community. Frances, the designer of the patterns reached out to me and gave me an updated version for the zipper instructions I didn’t had ( for whatever reason). Thank you Frances. This is my latest project, a fully lined blazer using speed tailoring techniques learnt on last week’s workshop with @sewalison Not got the buttons yet and I need to tweak the hem slightly but really pleased with it. When I started sewing again a few years ago I never imagined I would progress this far! The workshop was excellent, felt supported throughout and am definitely going to sew another blazer - just need a simple project in-between 😂. Swipe to see the insides!
