Dies ist meine zweite Variante der Hose #LazoTrousers @ThreadTheoryDesigns, dieses Mal die lange Version ohne Umschlag. Ich mag das Schnittmuster sehr, der breite Bund inspiriert mich. Wie man erkennen kann, habe ich dieses mal sehr schmale, dafür doppelte Gürtelschlaufen angebracht. Diese habe ich etwa 2,5-3cm unter der Oberkante abgesteppt, um einen schmalen Gürtel oben an Ort und Stelle zu halten. Besonders Highlight sind diese wunderschönen Knöpfe, die vorne schräg sitzen. Dadurch, dass es die zweite Version des Schnittmusters ist, habe ich direkt runtergenäht, um dann vor Annähen des Bundes festzustellen, dass mir die Hose zu weit ist. Also habe ich die Seitennähte inklusive Schrägbandeinfassung nochmal komplett aufgetrennt und habe an jeder Seite nochmal etwa 3cm Weite im Bein rausgenommen. Diese Änderung habe ich zusätzlich zu denen aus der ersten Version direkt aufs Schnittmuster übertragen. Mittlerweile ist Version drei zugeschnitten, wieder mit kleinen Designänderungen ;-) mal sehen, ob die dann auf Anhieb passen wird. Den Stoff der Hose habt ihr schon im vorigen Post aus meinem "Morgenmantel" gesehen. Leider pillt er etwas, das ist wirklich sehr unschön. Des Weiteren gibt es noch eine Bluse aus dem Stoff und dann war er auch bis auf Mini-Reste aufgebraucht. Ich mag dieses Stoffpuzzlen und das Erstellen von kleinen "Kollektionen". Ich liebe diese Hose im Übrigen. Sie ist super bequem und fügt sich toll in den Kleiderschrank ein. Der Schnitt ist lässig cool und die Farbe fügt sich wunderbar in meinen Kleiderschrank ein. Nur schade, dass der Stoff so zickig ist und wenig strapazierfähig. Für eine Hose denkbar ungeeignet - leider wurde das erst beim ersten Tragen deutlich. Hier kombiniere ich die Hose mit meiner #LisboaBlouse @orageuse_patterns aus dunkelblauer Seide, die ich vor zwei Jahren genäht habe. Echt eine Lieblingskombi. Lustiger Weise habe ich zu beiden Teile auch Gegenstücke dazu - das wären dann ein dunkelblauer Rock und rote Bluse. Lisboa ist eine meiner Lieblingsblusen. Irgendwie hat sich in mir eingebrannt, dass ich keine Jumpsuits mag. Aber die Idee einer Kombination aus Hose und Blusentop schwirrt schon seit einiger Zeit in meinem Kopf umher und ich finde das Ergebnis total edel. Beide Teile sind natürlich auch einzeln tragbar, eindeutiger Vorteil gegenüber dem Jumpsuit 😊. Der rote Stoff ist ein Cupro-Satin, ich habe ihn gefärbt, ursprünglich war er weiß. Von Haptik und Farbe bin ich begeistert, leider zieht der Stoff sehr schnell Fãden bei geringfügigem Kontakt mit rauen Flächen, das ist insbesondere für die Hose recht unpraktisch. Genäht habe ich die #LazoTrousers @threadtheorydesigns in der kurzen Version mit Saumaufschlag. Die Form des Schritts passte irgendwie nicht zu meiner Morphologie und ich habe die Kurve wie im letzten Bild zu sehen ist, angepasst. Außrdem habe ich rückwärtig zwei Abnäher hinzugefügt. Laut Maßtabelle (Höhe Hintern/Oberschenkel) hätte ich Größe 6 gebraucht. Durch meine Anpassungen habe ich vor allen hinten  Weite weggenommen, daran merkt manzie unterschiedlich Körper geformt sind. Ich brauche die Weite immer vorne an den Oberschenkeln und hinten über dem Po. Zur Taille hin werde ich dann wieder sehr schmal. As part of my current obsession with comfy sweatshirting, I bought some dark green tubular ribbing thinking I would use it as cuffs and neckband. However I ended up making a #nikkotop instead. It was a challenge to squeeze it out of only 1m and I ended up losing a few inches of length and doing the sleeves in two pieces so I could tessellate them. #patterntetris Full confession: I am currently wearing this full-time with my sweatshirt yantas but it does work really well with high waisted skirts too. So yesterday was about the bag, today is about the pants! I made another pair of #lazotrousers by Thread Theory Designs in black linen from @lafinchfabrics This pair is a straight size 10 with the seams at the hips and waistband graded from 5/8” to 1/2”. Honestly, I should have brought the top of the waistband back to 5/8” since they’re just a touch too loose for my preferred fit. This is the first pair where I added the belt loops, and I am quite a fan! Hard. 😭😭My problems started with my fabric choice: a slightly lustrous Tencel/linen blend that has no stretch, wrinkles easily and shows absolutely every mistake. I also found this pattern difficult to tailor for pear-shaped me. Despite it seeming to be loose through the hips, the seat seam was difficult to get right. I don’t know if I love this pattern company, the illustrations for the instructions weren’t to scale for the pattern pieces, and the fly insertion instructions were basically incomprehensible. But I’m glad I got through it and ended up with a pair of wearable pants! I made a pair of #lazotrousers from @threadtheorydesigns . I used a #meetmilk tencel grunge jacquard from @lamazifabrics . I love the subtle texture on the fabric (last picture)! I think this pattern needs a fabric with decent drape and this worked perfectly. And it has a slight stretch so it’s very comfy. . I made a size 6 and graded to a smaller size at the waist, just on the waistband. I also made a belt and fabric covered buckle out of leftover fabric. . Got some #memades today! @threadtheorydesigns #lazotrousers out of some suiting fabric my old boss gave me from the bespoke tailor shop. Blouse is a convoluted story. Originally the design was a Savers thrift find I altered; took it in and took off the sleeves. It was mustard yellow and very 80s. I wore it to death then I tried to make a pattern from it... not suuupper successfully but it came out ok. Front is made of a silk with big section pattern. I only bought one section because it was a wee bit pricey. Back is made from thrift store curtains. Cannot remember where I got the belt buckle (prob ebay or someplace equally dumb/weird) but just rigged that to a thrift belt today at work. Earrings were a gift (they are one of my favorites). Wow, it has been a minute since I've posted. I lost my sew-jo for a while since we were on the road for 9 weekends in a row. This past weekend was the first time we were home for both days, and I made the most of it - I'm almost caught up on my Christmas gifts for the family! I also did some sewing for myself - picked up the #watsonbra pattern by @clothhabit and used the #leverette pattern by @orange_lingerie to make my own closure. I'll have to share those in another post, but those are highly recommended for the great patterns, instructions, and amazing fit. I've got several things currently on my sewing table - a pair of #pietrapants by @closetcase.patterns , a few pairs of #watsonbikini, and a mini #raspberryrucksack by @sarkirsten (need some sliders for the straps before I get started on that one). Ok, I need a new place to take full length photos. But I couldn't wait to share my @threadtheorydesigns #LazoTrousers this is a real @in_a_haystack make as it's the pattern from a previous pack and also fabric from @craftysewandso who were the featured shop in the same pack. I knew at once I wanted a maroon cord pair (I also knew I wanted a tartan pair... More on that later) and even though cord was a far distance from the drapey viscoses and tencels the pattern recommended (!), I think these work really well. My first fly zip didn't quite go as intended but it's functional. I love these pants. Fitted enough for work (I have a grey suiting pair cut out already) but casual enough for round the house. I'll probably blind hem the next pair for work but the roll up on these ones are perfect. And a little view of my sewing space that has mostly recovered from the bombshell of filming a fabric haul vlog this afternoon 😂 I've had to make a few fit adjustments to these which I think are preparing me well for my upcoming jeans workshop! I took a wedge of about 2inches out of the back waistband, I took half an inch of each side seam and added a tiny bit to each pleat, probably three quarters of an inch total. I'm still unconvinced on tucking in as the waistband looks like a maternity band - but it's super comfy so this bothers me very little. My top is probably my now most made pattern, the @colettepatterns #Moneta but as a top! I started planning my Lazo Trousers as soon as this Haystack pack pattern turned up in my e-mail. The high waistband is so comfortable and the pockets are so big! . The #lazotrousers @threadtheorydesigns and #haystackpack @in_a_haystack . Pants and fit is a journey so this is more a wearable toile. (Also I managed to get bleach lines on the tencel in the wash 😪) The fitting tips in the instructions were great and I added 3cm for the rise. But going to have to add more room for my bum on the back piece and take in the back waistband piece for my sway back. #memademay2021 for May 14! Today I wore two #makeitwork projects. The jacket is the #harissiavest from the #moodfabrics blog. I managed to add sleeves to it with some amount of fussing. I ended up taking in the princess seams at the armhole, otherwise it was just too big for the sleeve to look right. For the sleeves I started with the pattern from #seamworksadie but modified the armscye a lot by the time I was done. The fabric is a soft wool from #prettymercerie that I cut on the bias. So I drafted a waistband from the #lazotrousers using darts instead of the gathers that McCalls calls for. I honestly never thought I would be a shorts-in-winter gal, but these are pretty darn warm. I made some Lazo trousers by Thread theory! I got this beautiful russet crepe suiting last year. I spent a lot of time making multiple muslins and fitting and refitting. I still feel I have plenty to learn about fitting trousers but this is definitely the most successful fit I've ever achieved. Found these pretty gold buttons in my stash. It's a nice pattern with a cool silhouette. As part of my current obsession with comfy sweatshirting, I bought some dark green tubular ribbing thinking I would use it as cuffs and neckband. However I ended up making a #nikkotop instead. It was a challenge to squeeze it out of only 1m and I ended up losing a few inches of length and doing the sleeves in two pieces so I could tessellate them. #patterntetris Full confession: I am currently wearing this full-time with my sweatshirt yantas but it does work really well with high waisted skirts too. So yesterday was about the bag, today is about the pants! I made another pair of #lazotrousers by Thread Theory Designs in black linen from @lafinchfabrics This pair is a straight size 10 with the seams at the hips and waistband graded from 5/8” to 1/2”. Honestly, I should have brought the top of the waistband back to 5/8” since they’re just a touch too loose for my preferred fit. This is the first pair where I added the belt loops, and I am quite a fan! Got some #memades today! @threadtheorydesigns #lazotrousers out of some suiting fabric my old boss gave me from the bespoke tailor shop. Blouse is a convoluted story. Originally the design was a Savers thrift find I altered; took it in and took off the sleeves. It was mustard yellow and very 80s. I wore it to death then I tried to make a pattern from it... not suuupper successfully but it came out ok. Front is made of a silk with big section pattern. I only bought one section because it was a wee bit pricey. Back is made from thrift store curtains. Cannot remember where I got the belt buckle (prob ebay or someplace equally dumb/weird) but just rigged that to a thrift belt today at work. Earrings were a gift (they are one of my favorites). Hard. 😭😭My problems started with my fabric choice: a slightly lustrous Tencel/linen blend that has no stretch, wrinkles easily and shows absolutely every mistake. I also found this pattern difficult to tailor for pear-shaped me. Despite it seeming to be loose through the hips, the seat seam was difficult to get right. I don’t know if I love this pattern company, the illustrations for the instructions weren’t to scale for the pattern pieces, and the fly insertion instructions were basically incomprehensible. But I’m glad I got through it and ended up with a pair of wearable pants! Looking back a couple years.⁠ I made up a pair of Lazo Trousers in tencel twill.⁠ ⁠ I really want to love these, but I have an issue. When I go up stairs it pulls at my seat and front thigh. Ok, I need a new place to take full length photos. But I couldn't wait to share my @threadtheorydesigns #LazoTrousers this is a real @in_a_haystack make as it's the pattern from a previous pack and also fabric from @craftysewandso who were the featured shop in the same pack. I knew at once I wanted a maroon cord pair (I also knew I wanted a tartan pair... More on that later) and even though cord was a far distance from the drapey viscoses and tencels the pattern recommended (!), I think these work really well. My first fly zip didn't quite go as intended but it's functional. I love these pants. Fitted enough for work (I have a grey suiting pair cut out already) but casual enough for round the house. I'll probably blind hem the next pair for work but the roll up on these ones are perfect. And a little view of my sewing space that has mostly recovered from the bombshell of filming a fabric haul vlog this afternoon 😂 I've had to make a few fit adjustments to these which I think are preparing me well for my upcoming jeans workshop! I took a wedge of about 2inches out of the back waistband, I took half an inch of each side seam and added a tiny bit to each pleat, probably three quarters of an inch total. I'm still unconvinced on tucking in as the waistband looks like a maternity band - but it's super comfy so this bothers me very little. My top is probably my now most made pattern, the @colettepatterns #Moneta but as a top! Diese Fotos schlummern schon länger in meinen Entwürfen 😅. Hier seht ihr die #LazoTrousers @threadtheorydesigns aus meinem letzten Post. (Dort findet ihr auch mein Vorgehen zur Schnittanpassung.) Der Schnitt ist lässig cool und die Farbe fügt sich wunderbar in meinen Kleiderschrank ein. Nur schade, dass der Stoff so zickig ist und wenig strapazierfähig. Für eine Hose denkbar ungeeignet - leider wurde das erst beim ersten Tragen deutlich. Hier kombiniere ich die Hose mit meiner #LisboaBlouse @orageuse_patterns aus dunkelblauer Seide, die ich vor zwei Jahren genäht habe. Echt eine Lieblingskombi. Lustiger Weise habe ich zu beiden Teile auch Gegenstücke dazu - das wären dann ein dunkelblauer Rock und rote Bluse. Lisboa ist eine meiner Lieblingsblusen. 🍁my fancy wool trousers are done! 🍁 i allowed this to be a slow project. which means i finished it in two days🌟 🍂 most of the seams were finished by hand with the major seams being hand basted and then machine sewn into place. the pockets are lined with black silk taffeta! i used a piece of linen tape to stabilize the pockets because of how spongy and stretchy the wool was! i used silk organza for the interfacing and that helped stabilize but maintain the drape of the wool. 🍂 it went together so easily! the hardest part was the plaid matching which worked out beautifully! ✨✨✨ fabric was worsted 100% wool from #dorrmillstore the pattern is @threadtheorydesigns #lazotrousers shoes old @americanduchess . . . . #sewing #historicalsewing #costume #yeoldefashionvlogger #fiberartist #historicalartist #wooltweed #tweed #tartanpants #handsewing #historicalcostume  #handmade #slowfashion #historybounding #costuming #fiberart #handmadewardrobe

I started planning my Lazo Trousers as soon as this Haystack pack pattern turned up in my e-mail. The high waistband is so comfortable and the pockets are so big! . The #lazotrousers @threadtheorydesigns and #haystackpack @in_a_haystack . Pants and fit is a journey so this is more a wearable toile. (Also I managed to get bleach lines on the tencel in the wash 😪) The fitting tips in the instructions were great and I added 3cm for the rise. But going to have to add more room for my bum on the back piece and take in the back waistband piece for my sway back. #memademay2021 for May 14! Today I wore two #makeitwork projects. The jacket is the #harissiavest from the #moodfabrics blog. I managed to add sleeves to it with some amount of fussing. I ended up taking in the princess seams at the armhole, otherwise it was just too big for the sleeve to look right. For the sleeves I started with the pattern from #seamworksadie but modified the armscye a lot by the time I was done. The fabric is a soft wool from #prettymercerie that I cut on the bias. Wow, it has been a minute since I've posted. I lost my sew-jo for a while since we were on the road for 9 weekends in a row. This past weekend was the first time we were home for both days, and I made the most of it - I'm almost caught up on my Christmas gifts for the family! I also did some sewing for myself - picked up the #watsonbra pattern by @clothhabit and used the #leverette pattern by @orange_lingerie to make my own closure. I'll have to share those in another post, but those are highly recommended for the great patterns, instructions, and amazing fit. I've got several things currently on my sewing table - a pair of #pietrapants by @closetcase.patterns , a few pairs of #watsonbikini, and a mini #raspberryrucksack by @sarkirsten (need some sliders for the straps before I get started on that one). Ive gotta get as much of this done before Thursday since I'm out of town again.
