I made a zip for my favorite guy! It’s based on the #redwoodfleecevest from @5outof4patterns. I used the torso, pockets, and collar, but drafted my own inner pockets and sleeves. The two fabrics are cotton jerseys from @joann_stores (of course - I have one a biking distance away) and I might make one again using the fleece I was supposed to use, but chose not to because it’s August and I know I couldn’t wait to wear a new make, so why make him? #redwoodvest #sewmystyle2020 #handmadewithjoann #indiepatterns #boundpockets #sewistsofinstagram #starwarstshirt

Before and after sewing. I “basted” with wonder tape. Probably my best zippered pocket in fleece which is a low bar. I used a scrap for the facing and you can see a bit of it showing. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Still this is a wearable muslin, so lesson learned. #toilesandtribulations #redwoodvest #redwoodfleecevest
