Finally! Pictures of my new Decades of Style 1930s capelet. It’s a fun pattern to put together. I think the wool I used was a little too heavy because the seams are a bit bulky, despite using a light bemberg silk lining. I still need to press/steam the belt/wrap part flatter. Other notes: I topstitched the hem to make it drape nicely. Also I added an inch to the length to accommodate my long torso. I did a snap fastener at the back instead of a button. I’m really happy with this and will definitely incorporate it into my wardrobe. I can’t decide whether I like the belt down a little lower, highlighting the strappiness (pic 1) or tucked up high, flush with the capelet edge (pic 2). Thoughts?
