I was going through her wardrobe and saw this #bebekinsrobyn dress, which she has grown out of completely. But it made me go down the memory lane again. She wore it on our last vacation - an unusually rainy vacation in Mexico last year.

The fabric is a vintage sheet my mother-in-law gave me. I just love the sweet (but not over-the-top sweet) floral pattern.

We had been at the same resort the year before, and I remember last year, while packing for our trip, I was savouring the idea of taking her pictures in this dress with these very bar chairs - I thought they'd make an ideal prop.

And it rained. And rained. And rained. And then there finally was some sunshine. We put on the dress and headed to the location. And it rained again!

Somehow all of these things are making me sad. They make me feel that she didn't get enough wear out of this lovely dress, although she did wear it both before and after.

Maybe I am mostly sad to have to retire this dress now? Or, perhaps, I should give it a new life? One thing is clear: I should absolutely make an equally lovely dress out of this pattern before she completely grows out of the size range.
