Posing: not my forte. So I tried that classic trick of occupying my hands with a pumpkin. š
Hereās my contribution to #worktober: reflecting my freelance #wfh lifestyle with knit loungewear. The cozier, the better.
The fabric is a great deadstock print from @wastedfabrics, which I love. With the matching set, it reminds me of those āhead to toeā fashion looks from Richard Quinn. I just need a matching balaclava.
These are the #swimstylepatternskarla pants modified with a slight full seat adjustment, paired with a heavily modified #bellalovespatternsapollo. The pants were initially a bit longer, but since I didnāt prewash the fabric, they shrank and I had to let out the hem and keep just a 1/4ā hem.
Lesson learnedāI prewashed before sewing the top. For the top, I drafted slim arms to go under coats and sweaters, reduced the armhole size, and brought in the waist significantly. I didnāt change the wide mock turtleneck, which I liked, so it will need to go with cardis or v-neck sweaters for layering.
Overall I love how this set turned out. I feel like the top and bottom will get a lot of wear both separately and together.
