I was so excited to participate in the @projectrunandplay upcycle challenge this month! Sweaters are one of my favorite things to upcycle into kids clothes because there are so many details like the cuffs, and buttons. I used the @jennuinedesign #biographybomigan and it was such a quick sew because I used the original cuffs and button placket. I still had fabric from the sweater leftover after making the sweater so I had to make a matching bonnet. It’s the @twigandtale #riverstonebonnet and was so fun to make. My first Storytellers project of the year. My son was born in late March, so it seemed only fitting for me to make him his first Easter outfit for my first project 💗 I chose to make him some Pixie Pants with the suspender add on. I also made him a Riverstone Bonnet… there’s something so sweet about little babies in bonnets :,) I made his outfit out of the same fabric I used for my Driftwood Dress and daughter’s Driftwood Dress that I made us for Mother’s Day last year 💗 I have a feeling I’ll be making him plenty more Pixie Pants in the future (maybe some Driftwoods to go with!)
