Tunics for the girls😍. I ordered this fabric a long time ago on sale and when it came, it wasn't what I was expecting. (The material) so it's just been sitting in my stash. Today as I was doing my daily laundry, cleaning these came into my mind. Finally figured out what I had to do with this fabric! I had an urge to stop cleaning and sew these up. My daughter loves the Sweetie Pie Tunic from @ellieandmac_patterns. We graded slightly to better fit her chest and waist differences. Pattern makes up in an afternoon and had lots of variations to try. I love that you can get it in youth and adult sizes so we can be matching. It has a really full skirt perfect for twirling. I DID IT!!! I hemmed a circle skirt in a way that doesn't look like it got chewed by an animal!! Although it was more of a curved hem than a circle, but it wasn't a straight hem, so I think it still counts. I needed a quick sew today, so re-used my Sweetie Pie tunic pieces with 3/4 sleeves. As much as I want to try every pattern with every option, re-using existing pieces saves So. Much. Time. I love the shape of this - fitted at the waist then kicks out into a flared skirt that flatters wider hips. Literally quicker than doing laundry! From printing to hemming. Could use a good press but that would defeat the whole purpose of wanting to be quick.. Elle and Mac sweetie pie dress, raised neckline+ reduced width of neckband because of personal preferences. (Potty training setback after our holiday + very few summer clothes, because, .. well, 10 months of rain followed by a beach holiday for which we mainly needed swim clothes).
