Je couds assez rarement des pantalons, sans raison particulière. Mais là, je voulais tester un patron, et même si je l'ai un peu modifié en cours de route, je suis contente du résultat ! J'ai opté pour un tissu sweat envers minky, pour le côté chaud et doux, le même tissu version écureuils pour les poches, et comme j'ai doublé les poches avec un jersey jaune, j'ai décidé de faire les coutures et surpiqûres en jaune ! Ça casse le côté monochrome, et ça apporte une petite touche de bonne humeur à ce pantalon tout doux. Happy lunar new year to everyone celebrating this wonderful occasion. My boy asked me to make this outfit for his school party and chose the fabric - he said he wanted red and black so it will be like “Iron Spiderman.” I asked him if I could take a few photos of the outfit but he kept posing in different ways that I couldn’t keep up 🤣 I was very intimidated to make this mandarin collar shirt by @porcupinepatterns simply because I’ve never tried it before, and I’m not very good at sewing with bias tape. But the pattern was well-written and it had a really good video tutorial so it was actually a breeze to sew - I didn’t unpick even once (which rarely happens!). I’m looking forward to make another one next year and playing around with other fabric combinations. For the pants, I used the tried and tested Wild Wide Pants by @ellieandmac_patterns. This pattern is meant for knits so I adjusted the waist and hips to make sure it would fit and it worked pretty well. I’m glad it comes with cuffs so I was able to put some black to make it all tie together.
