The Going Home Sweater dress pattern from Ellie and Mac. I lengthened the sleeves an inch, and it could have been two so I could leave off the cuff. And didn't add the waistband. I had to take it I slightly. I admit I just cut a large without checking the measurements. But as I'm using it as a t.shirt rather than a jumper, that could also make a difference. The fabric was from a bundle my husband gave me for Christmas. While shopping a fabric sale at @shopolgascloset I came across this fabric and really had no idea what it was (Shaggy Solid Chenille Sweater). I was curious and loved the color so why not right? This fabric is freaking awesome. Day 10 of 12 sewing makes 😊 This is quite a funny one, because i made this cosy warm.set in the height of summer 😆 I'll explain: once I starred flying and having my breaks in "the bunks" I found it quite cold, so I decided that I needed to make my own warm pyjamas. I still had some of this dark and lighter grey fleece and wanted to make a raglan sleeved hoodie so I could use the dark for the "bodice" and light for sleeves, hood and pocket. This then left me with enough fleece for the trousers. Ellie and Mac (my fav pattern designer) have a raglan jumper, but it doesn't include a hood., however, looking for patterns on their website, I noticed the Adult Roxy Raglan by Rain City for sale on their website which was exactly what I needed! Sadly it seems like it's not being sold anymore, so instead, you could easily hack the going home jumper and add a hood from another pattern to create the same result. For the bottoms I used the Free adult classic PJ and nightgown pattern, which features nice big pockets. It was a bit odd to pose for these in the hot HOT sun in July, but it was worth it as I've had lovely warm breaks at work since 😊 #afflink in bio #ellieandmacpatterns #classicpj #raglan #goinghomesweater

Walking is my main form of exercise and, living in South East Queensland, I’ve always got my water bottle with me no matter the season. The Hydro Water Bottle Sling Carrier from @ellieandmac_patterns is perfect for carrying just the essentials when I go out for a walk - water bottle, keys and lollies in the slip pocket (one of the downsides’ to being a type 1 diabetic). I made this one from waterproof canvas for the outer and the lining. In the spirit of making clothes, I thought I'd have a go at using the mystery bundle from Knighton Fabrics to make some gifts. 1st up is this #ellieandmac Kids Going Home Sweater in age 14, which will be a gift for my youngest. She loved the fabric and keeps asking for new clothes. It looked small sewing it up, but it fits on Mandy mannequin, so I think it should be fine. I sewed most of the neckband with no bobbin thread and had to go back and redo it but didn't re clip it. It sits fine is a tiny bit wonky where some of the fabric had curled after the first go round with no thread. I don't really know what fabric base it is, but it's lightweight and stretchy, so I gave it a go. Fall is my favourite season, by far! 🍂 I could live in these Going Home sweaters by @ellieandmac_patterns I used French Terry for the mushrooms fabric and CL for the lavender. Tunic length. Fabric is a local (🇨🇦) shop called @fabricandflow and it is legit heavenly. You can get this print until the 8th 😘

My focus when making this top was the details. Faux leather and thick sweater knit for warmth. Cowl collar so it suits office dress code. Big kangaroo pocket for my fidgety hands.
