Have I ever mentioned that I don’t do casual? I mean I try, but in over 30 years of my life I haven’t figured out a comprehensive casual style 🤷‍♀️ My home attire is typically more of a collection of gym & work rejects with a dash of pjs and 14 years old (😱) dressing gown. Classy? Chic? Not so much... Now imagine how much I struggle to find something to wear all day whilst working from home (which, full disclosure, I’m very happy to still be able to do because the alternative is very scary). Well my last #makenine was a bit of a disaster - I managed 3 out of the total and I’m carrying 2 forward into #makenine2021 but I’ve abandoned the other 4. I guess no ones 2020 worked out according to plan... Still, I like to think I learned a lot in the last 12 months and that this year’s list is more appropriate and thought out! 1. The #maevecardigan by @maddermade this is a carryover but I’ve actually cast on! I’ve almost finished the first sleeve and I intend it to be ready for winter. 2. The #morganjeans by @closetcorepatterns this is my other carryover but I’ve added the notions and tools since last year so the only thing stopping me is my fear. 3. The #palisadepants by @papercutpatterns this was actually the first pattern I made and it was a bit of a disaster. I had no idea how to make modifications to the pattern. I think I can do this now 4. The #signatureboxtop by @thirdbornclothing I love linen, I need staples, I hope this looks as awesome on me 5. The #emoffshoulderromper by @ellieandmac_patterns I think this is the ultimate in lounge wear and I need it in my life 6. The #ogdencami by @truebias but as the bias cut #ogdencamidress I just need to figure out how to add pockets 7. The #axisdress also by @papercutpatterns I adore this neckline and the low back 8. The #adrienneblouse by @fridaypatterncompany I love the simplicity and elegance of this top 9. I need a sun shirt with a collar but something light and elegant rather than a work shirt. I adore the style of the #yanakajacket by @lieslandco and the way the collar is not a separate piece so I may try and adapt it as a shirt. May also make it as a jacket too.
