Here we go again folks, this is @SwimstylePatterns Ritual dress pattern, my 4th attempt. I will catch you all up in due course on the 2 shirt versions I have done, the previous grid post was my first dress version.
This one is made up in Hayley hemp from @Potter_and_co_Australia. I just love this substrate, it has a beautiful drape and sews up so nicely ❤️. The colour is black, and as seems to be the case with hemp, the colour fades a bit with washing, but in a good way - it becomes deliciously soft and worn-in. (At the time these pics were taken, the dress had been washed 3 times.)
The only modification I made was to shorten the sleeves to bracelet length and put elastic in the cuffs. I just adore this pattern, it is so versatile to wear. You can dress it up with smart shoes for the office, heels for a party or go flat slides for the beach. Cool and comfy but enough sun coverage for an ageing redhead.
