Newest top completed! This one is from @grainlinestudio it’s the Corin Top. It took a bit of adjusting to get it to fit right. After sewing a muslin based on my measurements, I took it down one size. Then after sewing the final version I ripped out and raised the waist 1 1/4” and cut 2” off the sleeves. I still feel it’s too big as the neckline keeps sliding off my shoulders. But I do like the pattern so next time I’ll sew it yet another size smaller and try out a different sleeve. Sewing my own clothes has been fun though. Another @grainlinestudio Corin Top in Nano Iro jewel song pocho double gauze 😺 this is a 2015 fabric that has sat for several years in my stash after being bought on e-bay. The white splodges are slightly iridescent and catch the light. The bottom hem is selvage edge, the sleeves are turned to hide the writing. Today at work (@grainlinestudio) we released our first new pattern in quite a while, the Corin Top! This is my version I made to wear test a while back. Used a double gauze from @blackbirdfabrics, 3/4 sleeves, and elastic at the front. It's so easy to wear, I love it! Now I need to get a few shots wearing it but I just haven't felt up to photos yet. Just finished up my first #MakeNine2024 garment, this rayon print Corin dress! I love it & may have ended up with more than just this one on the journey to the finish.
