So I’ve officially started all my Christmas gift sewing! I have a tendency to bite off more than I can chew (I sat down and organised all of my planned projects and figured out I have well over 30 projects) so this year I’ve started early to avoid the rush sewing at midnight on Christmas Eve (which will probably still happen, but hey at least I tried!) First Christmas project completed was a little nightie for my oldest niece. The pattern was Lee T-Shirt which Julia from @Bobbins_and_buttons helped me to hack into a nightie in sewing class, and I used the “Magic is in the Air” French Terry panel from her shop. This was a quick and easy sew and I think my unicorn obsessed niece is going to love this! From the scraps I did manage to get a #minihebden and pair of #tangerinetrousers by @poppyandjazz for the youngest niece. I think these also came out pretty cute. I had to piece the neckband on the Hebden as the pattern piece says “Cut 1” instead of “Cut 1 on fold” and I added a contrast hem as I had made a mistake cutting out. (Points for anyone who notices the error I made with the trousers🤣 ) Good thing about sewing for babies is they don’t notice these things! And I’ve also managed to get another 2 #theodorsweatshirt cut out of other scraps I had which will be Christmas gifts for the other kiddos in our family. Latest projects have been gifts for some special occaisions! The elephant and trousers were for my new little niece born last Thursday, and the adorable cow was a present for a friend's birthday. I hadn't actually done any crochet for a long time as I had been too busy working on my dressmaking stuff, but these projects made a really nice change and reminded me how much I enjoy just sitting in front of the TV with some crochet.
