I made Simon a Jackson Sweater and Hudson Pants in @seeyouatsixfabric French Terry and deadstock Valentino ribbing last year and had remnants left over in my cuttings box to make little a little mini me outfit. Sadly, these aren't really Insta photo worthy, but I'll have to get a matching outfit pic someday in the future. First attempt at mini clothes for our mini human, who should be arriving very soon! 💙 I’ve used the Birch Trousers and Strawberry Sweatshirt patterns from @poppyandjazz. Both patterns were so easy to use and I love that they size from 0-3 months all the way to 6 years so I’ll be returning to these makes over and over again. The blue set is made from a gorgeous lightweight Cotten jersey with a zebra print from @stitchandinkfabrics The second set is made from sweat-shirting remnants I already had. I couldn’t resist patching a little fox face on the front just to add to the cuteness factor 🦊. Ad/gifted product: I was approached by Caroline from @sewabfab to see if I would like to try one of her monthly sewing kits and of course I said yes! Caroline makes up new kits every month and there is normally an adult kit and a child/infants kit. This was one of the February kits and it included the @poppyandjazz Birch trousers pattern with this gorgeous leopard print french terry 🥰 The kit includes everything you need to make the garment - interfacing, thread, even a new pack of needles and a label! The only thing I didn’t use on this occasion was the drawstring tape as I decided to omit the button holes/eyelets. I made the size 3-4 years for my son who is 2 and half. He is quite tall so I would always go with the pattern measurements 😊 I would recommend these lovely kits if you’re relatively new to sewing and don’t have all the notions etc, or if you are more experienced and just enjoy getting everything you need in one go. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed making up this pattern and I’m sure I’ll be making a few more versions! #Sew500 I'm entering @sewhayleyjane incredibly generous giveaway with these #BirchTrousers by @poppyandjazz (in a lovely French terry fabric from @eliza_mac_fabrics bought a couple of years ago). They certainly won't be the most exciting entry to the giveaway, but they mean a lot to me because they're the first project I've completed in over a year. I’m finding it so satisfying to not only make him more clothes but to use up the left over fabric from previous projects. Handmade baby gifts… this bundle of cute baby clothes were for my niece’s first birthday @dyerpoppy. I had lots of jersey remnants and wanted to try a couple of new patterns which are hopefully practical for a crawling/toddling baby. For the record…I never made any baby clothes for my own children!! #MeMadeMay2021 - Day 9 A photo shoot with a toddler 😅 These are the #BirchTrousers from #PoppyAndJazz in a kit from @sewabfab - I saw that Gemma @thedalythread had made this kit and it looked super cute so I decided to finally make Oscar some clothes! He won't be wearing these for a few months because I sized up, but he loves them and I've already bought more fabric for some more (plus enough fabric to make some matching trousers for his cousin 🥰) The kit was perfect! I find there's always something I forget to buy for each project, and then I lose motivation and end up getting nothing done, so having everything in a kit made the whole process so much easier and stress-free.
