Bonjour, Je vous montre ça un mois après l'avoir offert, mais voici le trousseau confectionné pour la naissance de ma seconde nièce, Marion 😘 La gigoteuse est issue du livre Coudre pour Bébé. J'ai manqué de longueur de mon tissu rose donc j'ai fait des empiècements gris et blanc. J'aime beaucoup, je trouve que ça souligne bien le tout. J'ai fait des lingettes assorties et un anneau de dentition avec oreilles de lapin 🐰 Le tissu rose lapins vient de chez Mondial Tissus (j'ai le même avec un fond vert de gris en stock 😉). J'ai aussi cousu ma troisième version des Dandelion Dungarees de Sew Over It, avec deux Elm T-shirt assortis. Le tissu kayak était une évidence, mes frères ayant pratiqué de longues années (si vous faites gaffe, vous verrez que les fines rayures ondulent autour de certains kayaks. L'association avec le tissu paquerette à été choisie par Monsieur, et il avait bien raison, j'aime beaucoup le rendu. Le tout vient de la mercerie Coocool ☺️ Et puis pour emballer tout ça, j'ai cousu un nouveau Grocery bag de Sew Over It. It’s another Elm tshirt by @poppyandjazz! I am loving this pattern so much, it’s so practical and a quick sew. I had it already cut out but it took me less than 2 and a half hours to get it all sewn up yesterday. I've got Long Covid so very little sewing has been done in 2023. However @elmo_88 had a delightful tiny human and I decided that she, Rich and the tiny human should be in matching t-shirts. A quick evening sewing project. Now that Mini K is bigger and more independent, sleepsuits are struggle to get on so we’ve moved up to pyjamas! I decided to make some as she’s almost into the next size band and I had plenty of fabric in my stash! * I’ve used the Poppy & Jazz Elm t-shirt and added ribbing to the cuff. For the bottoms I’ve used their Tangerine Trousers and used ribbing for waistband. Accidentally wearing the same fabric with my boy! I usually buy a little more cotton jersey than I need so that I can use the leftovers to make small people t shirts! This is the best quality cotton jersey in rust from @lovefabricireland and it has been washed so many times and no fading or bobbling whatsoever! When we went to the beach yesterday I took some pictures of Jensen in his new handmade outfit on a quilt I had made ages ago. Jensen is wearing his #elmtshirt and #tangerinetrousers patterns from #sewoverit The quilt is a framed 9 patch, cut up into 4 quarters and rearranged to make a pattern that looks like gift boxes. I made the quilt using a #modacharmpack #modafabrics

Before closing the side seam and sleeve seam lay your t-shirt on some paper. Draw the wing shape following the side and sleeve seam and starting 4cm from sleeve edge and 5cm bodice edge draw 3 wing points 2. Add seam allowance all around the wing pattern piece (1cm for Elm T-shirt) 3. Cut 2 pairs of wings 4. Sew each pair of wings right sides together along the 3 points using a standard straight stitch. Leave straight edges open 5. Trim seam allowances and turn right way around using a pencil to get points looking sharp. Press 6. Topstitch from each wing point to armpit using a straight stitch (stitch length: 4). You can do this in a decorative contrast thread or in black if you don’t want the stitches to show. 7. With the t-shirt right sides together sandwich each wing along the side seam and sleeve seam. Sew all layers together with a zigzag stitch. Trim the SA. Press 8. Hem bodice and sleeves following pattern instructions 🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇 Lucia Top hack: Lengthen bodice piece to desired dress length and lengthen one piece of shoulder frill to desired cape length.
