I DID IT! And I am in love 😍 my #soilunapyjamas are a success! I cut the neckline interfacing pattern piece in half so I could still get everything else right despite making a mistake when cutting out early on 🤦‍♀️ I also took the armholes in as the seam sat quite low down on me. I loved this fabric so much I bought a different colour way to make a SOI Niamh skirt. This was, without doubt, the most beautiful fabric I have ever worked with. It was a @libertylondon Liberty Lawn and was almost like fine silk. It was expensive, but I would suggest it was totally worth it. I made the @sewoveritlondon Luna pyjamas with it which were perfect. The drape was just right. Forgot to showcase this. This is my favourite sew/pyjamas not because it's perfect or looks amazing but this was my first ever adult garment. In hindsight I should of maybe chosen something easier and measured myself properly. But I always love a challenge. Just goes to show no matter what your sewing level (I only made 2 cushion covers prior to this) you can achieve anything you want with a bit of hard work and patience. I did it! I did not have enough fabric for both the top and bottoms of this PJ set, but with some fabric-savvy pattern modifications, careful fabric piecing, and even trickier pattern matching, I was able to eke out the top of this pattern as well and I feel very smug about it indeed! This is the @sewoveritlondon Luna Pyjamas in a 100% cotton buffalo check flannel that I found at Hobby Lobby when I was visiting friends in CT in the fall. I made a straight size 6 on top and a size 8 for the bottoms, I reduced all the hem allowances, shortened the sleeves to 3/4 length, pieced the waist tie together from fabric scraps, and used a different, similarly-woven linen fabric for the inside facing. And bonus, I was still able to match the pattern along the side seams! These PJs are cozy, comfortable, and perfect to get me through the rest of the winter warm and happy . 🇫🇷 J’ai réussi ! Je n’avais pas assez de tissu pour le haut en plus du bas de ce pyjama, mais grâce à des modifications de patrons astucieuses, des assemblages de tissus minutieux et une grande attention portée à la correspondance des motifs, j’ai réussi à réaliser le haut aussi et j’en suis très fière ! Il s’agit du pyjama Luna de @sewoveritlondon dans une flanelle à carreaux 100% coton que j’ai acheté à Hobby Lobby lorsque je rendais visite à des amis dans le Connecticut à l’automne. J’ai cousu une taille 6 pour le haut et une taille 8 pour le bas, j’ai réduit toutes les marges d’ourlet, j’ai raccourci les manches à 3/4, j’ai assemblé le lien de taille avec des chutes de tissu et j’ai utilisé un autre tissu de lin au tissage similaire pour la parementure à l’intérieur. Et en bonus, j’ai même pu faire correspondre le motif aux coutures latérales ! AD-PR gifted fabric Feeling fancy in my new Pajamas!! These are the @sewoveritlondon Luna pjs made in this poly cotton gifted by @minervadotcom as part of their brand ambassador programme. I decided I want to make some fancy new pjs but didn’t have the time to devote to the Carolyn pjs which are quite involved. These are a quick make and look and feel fab. However - the bottom leg pieces are cut in one so no pockets! I should probably put patch pockets on the top. Even the pin holding bull is disappointed…. The flip side of this hobby I so dearly love is when I make a mistake 😔. Over the years, my Hubby has coined the rhetorical question/phrase “cut through the line?” For such moments… there have been many over the years 😒😖 This time I didn’t read the pattern fully, and was (again) doing things late at night because the kids don’t grasp the concept of “mummy time” 😡 so I’m now left with half the pieces cut out, not enough to make the outfit (#soilunapyjamas ), but nowhere appearing to have the same fabric in stock online 😭😭😭 I could get the same print in a different colour for the top but that just doesn’t feel right??? Grrrrr!! Shall I start again??

One of my most worn makes at the moment are these Pyjamas... they are really comfortable and the seersucker cotton feels so soft and nice! I love the wrap top as it can be worn loosely for comfort and/or sleeping, but can also be cinched at the waist for stylish lounging or weekend Pyjama breakfasts (not to say, that lounging in anything oversized or less fitting isn’t great, but sometimes it makes me feel better to wear something that feels more put together, if you know what I mean...). I have been so lazy today! #memademay day 3. I've watched TV and mainly eaten chocolate 🍫 I did practice Ashtanga yoga this morning with the amazing @yogahatch which was fab as always, so I don't feel guilty. A pyjama day was needed with all the rain we've had here, my #soilunapyjamas are so comfy! I love them, made in January but forgot to show them off.
