I managed to whip up a @sewoveritlondon ultimate T-shirt a few days ago. My sewing room has been out of action for the last week but I set up camp on my kitchen table and made this top! This is the 5th (I think) ultimate T-shirt as I think this is a great pattern! I made the crew neck version with short sleeves. I made a straight size 16. The fabric is a cotton jersey I got from @bornellafabrics at the stitch festival last month. I’ve eyed up this fabric for ages and then saw it on Tanya’s stand so had to buy it! I got the end of the bolt so it was meant to be. My first attempt at making a shirt. I've used the Sew Over It Ultimate shirt pattern, as from past experience I've found them straightforward patterns to follow, and I wasn't disappointed. I took my time, and really enjoyed the process of sewing up this shirt. I'm very happy with the outcome😀 The fabric is a cotton dobby from Sew Much More. I made a slight newbie error, I brought the fabric online because I loved the pattern, but hadn't realised quite how see through it was. I've paired it here with my go to t-shirt pattern, the Dawson Top from Helens Closet. This is my first @sewoveritlondon pattern, the ultimate t shirt. I had some fabric left from a Billie top I made. The fabric is a jersey knit from @fabriclanduk there was just enough, but I had to change the sleeves. The pattern was really easy to follow with clear instructions, and it came together quite quickly. As I didn't have enough fabric for the sleeves that were included in the pattern, I decided to use a sleeve pattern I had created from a ready to wear top. I think these sleeves make the top a bit more smart casual which I like. Can't believe I've made a shirt/blouse and it's actually worked 🌸👚 I am entering this for #sewaprilblouse24 run by @cloth_edit and @theyorkshiresewgirl even though I'm not sure it constitutes as a blouse, but my excuse is - it's pretty and feels more Feminine than a regular shirt 😉 🥰 This is the @sewoveritlondon #soiultimateshirt Made in viscose, a straight size 8. I feel the fit across my back (armpit to armpit) is a little snug, but it's not too small that I can't wear it. I removed 2" from the length and 2" from the sleeves. It was much easier to sew up than I imagined in my head, and I love it!
