This is my first time trying Make Nine. I've selected nine patterns that I currently have that I would like to make this year. We'll see how I do. 1. I saw a hack of the True Bias Roscoe shirt. I've made the Roscoe recently, but the hack is a button down version. I have a leaf print viscose from StyleMaker Fabrics that I'm going to use for this make. 2. I need a long cardigan. The Named Patterns Esme Cardigan. 3. Of course I have to also make the True Bias Marlow. I have a sparkle pink waffle knit from Guthrie & Ghani that I think would be perfect. 4. Next Closet Core Ginger Jeans - mid-rise. I've seen several done in stretch cord. I think I'm going to give that a try. May change my mind about the cord. I also have some stretch denim. 5. Might be my Aries moon, but realised I feel empty without a good sewing challenge for the year. Nuppu bingo last year was wonderful but for 2024 I haven’t found any ready made challenges. Dress Like a History Teacher Who Secretly DJs Vintage Disco Nights. #MeMadeMayButMakeItWeird - Day 9 Flared brown corduroy trousers, I mean this must be a required part of the uniform for a History buff / Disco DJ, right? Paired with flower power top and wool slipper ✌️The trousers are made from the #soiultimatejeans pattern in a quite heavy weight narrow corduroy from @tygverket. The sweater is one of the first things I made. It’s a bit too short, so you need to either be quite comfortable showing midriff, or wear high waisted trouser, which I prefer anyway. A couple of lift selfies from this week. With the summer holidays and then the K&S show I’ve not had a chance to post. Well managed to post about my jeans but I put it on the wrong account 🙈 so will need to repost that at some point 🥸 So here are the two items I’ve been wearing the most this week. 1. Amelia jacket - you might recognise this from the workshop we recently released on stitch school. I got to keep it and I’m so happy 😁 it is a wool cropped jacket but I wear it oversized for a more bomber jacket look. It is lined and so cosy #soiameliajacket 2. Ultimate jeans - freshly completed from jeans club and immediately worn at least every other day. These are version 2 - mum jeans style and the more I wear them the comfier they get. #soiultimatejeans #soijeansclub

My slowest make to date 🐌 I started making the Sew Over It Ultimate Jeans all the way back in February alongside @chloelikestosew because sometimes you need a buddy to make sure you stick with a big project ❤️👖 We’ve been documenting the whole thing on the @sewoveritlondon YouTube channel, but I think some WIP shots deserve a spot on this grid too! So here’s a few details, including the beautiful leather label Pat made me using a 3D printed stamp 😍, the dramatically curved waistband I drafted to avoid the dreaded gapping back, some satisfying topstitching and my wearable toile that I’ve worn so much already. So chuffed with my #soiultimatejeans 🤗 I was so nervous to start these, but was inspired by the jeans club vlogs with Chloe and Alma. I used a grey soft cotton twill as a wearable toile.
